Meent is assisting Hyundai Motorsport in the recruitment of its Head of Commercial & Partnership on a permanent contract.

Established on 19 December 2012, Hyundai Motorsport GmbH (HMSG) is responsible for Hyundai’s global motorsport activities, including WRC and Customer Racing.

Role

Hyundai Motorsport is seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial and Partnership Manager to cover our programs with a focus on our FIA Wolrd Endurance Championship (WEC) program, incl. The prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in motorsport sponsorship acquisition and partneship management, with specific experience or knowledge in working with the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) ans other key stakeholders in the endurance racing community.

Missions & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy to drive revenue growth through sponsorships, partnerships, and other commercial opportunities ;
  • Lead the account management team, ensuring the effective delivery of marketing rights, activation plans, and servicing of sponsorship agreements ;
  • Identify upsell opportunities and provide insights for sponsorship agreement renewals ; 
  • Oversee hospitality, management, ensuring an exceptional experience fos partners, guest, and skateholders ;
  • Manage key relationship with commercial partners, sponsors, and governing bodies, including ACO ; 
  • Negociate and execute startegic partnerships to enhance the brand and commercial value of the organization ;
  • Collaborate withe internal departments, including marketing, events, and operations, to ensure seamless exécution of commercial initiatives ; 
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.

Profile Requirements

  • Minimum Bahcelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related fields (Master’s degree preferred).

Experience

  • Proven experience in sponsorship and partnership, alternatively in sales, or business development within the motorsport industry, preferably with a focus on endurance racing or Wec ;
  • In-depth understanding of the FIA World Endurance Championship, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and ACO’s operational structure
  • Establish networkwithin the endurance racing community, incl. Sponsors, teams, and organizers ;
  • Familiar with activation strategies specific to endurance racing events ;
  • Previous experience working directly with ACO or within the WEC paddok ;
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and social media sponsorship activition ;
  • Expérience using CRM tools and managing complex sales pipelines.

  • Strong negociation and communication skills ; Strategic thinker with a proven ability to achieve revenue tragets ;
  • Flexible approach to working hours and tasks is essential ;
  • Team player with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment ;
  • Excellent English and French language skills.
